Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the HireHint AI desktop application, website and Customer Portal. By creating an account, installing the application or making a purchase, you agree to them. Please read section 4 (Acceptable use) carefully — it describes your responsibility for how you use the product.
1. The service
HireHint AI is a Windows desktop application that assists with interview preparation and practice. It transcribes system audio, can analyse your screen when you ask it to, and generates coaching suggestions using third-party AI models via our server-side proxy.
HireHint AI is an assistance tool. It does not guarantee any hiring outcome, interview result, assessment score or job offer. AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect and should always be reviewed by you before you rely on it.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live.
- You must provide an accurate email address and keep your account details current.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and licence key confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Licence
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use HireHint AI.
- A licence key is valid on one device at a time.
- Licence keys are personal to you and must not be shared, resold or published.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code or embedded credentials of the application.
- We may revoke a licence that is being shared, resold or otherwise used in breach of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of HireHint AI is permitted in your specific context. Many employers, recruiters, universities, certification bodies and assessment platforms prohibit outside assistance during interviews, tests or examinations. Before using HireHint AI in any live setting you must confirm that doing so is allowed by the rules that apply to you.
You must not use HireHint AI:
- In any interview, assessment, examination or certification where outside assistance is prohibited.
- To breach an employer's, institution's or platform's policies, terms or code of conduct.
- To record or process another person's audio where the law or that person's rights require consent you have not obtained.
- To misrepresent your identity, qualifications, experience or authorship of work.
- For any unlawful purpose, or to generate unlawful, harassing or infringing content.
- To attempt to circumvent entitlement limits, licensing checks, rate limits or billing.
- To resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, without refund.

5.1 Minute top-ups
Top-ups add interview minutes to your balance and are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.

A one-time first top-up bonus doubles the minutes credited on your first top-up purchase. The bonus applies once per account and is applied automatically at the time of purchase.
5.2 Billing terms
- All charges are determined by our servers at the time of purchase. Prices displayed in the application or on the website are for information only.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. By purchasing you also accept Razorpay's terms.
- Pro Copilot is a 1-month licence. It does not renew automatically unless you purchase again.
- Unused subscription minutes do not carry over to a new billing period. Purchased top-up minutes remain in your balance.
- Prices may change. Changes never affect a licence you have already paid for.
- Applicable taxes may be added at checkout in accordance with law.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Availability
We aim to keep HireHint AI available and responsive, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The product depends on third-party AI providers and payment infrastructure whose availability is outside our control. We may perform maintenance, modify features or discontinue parts of the service. Where a change is material we will give reasonable notice.
8. Intellectual property
HireHint AI, its software, branding and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a licence to use the software, not ownership of it. Content you supply — including your resume and prompts — remains yours.
9. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that AI-generated suggestions are accurate, complete, current or suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment or reputational harm arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms, your breach of a third party's rights, or your use of the service in a setting where it was not permitted.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Customer Portal. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use threatens the security or availability of the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 8 to 11 — will do so.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-product notice. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION — TO BE COMPLETED], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This placeholder must be completed with verified legal advice before public launch.
